Mrs. Taylor was a domestic worker for faculty members of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, retiring after many years of service. She was a member of The Original Church of God in Elyria, and formerly a member of The Original Church of God in Belvidere, Tennessee, where she served on the mother’s board, in Elyria and Tennessee. She enjoyed hand sewn quilts, cooking, gardening, and was a seamstress.
Surviving her are her son, Earl Aron (Patricia) Shores; her sister, Ozell (William H) Algood; and grandchildren, Anthony James Lee (Keisha) Hooper, Elease Marie (Darol) Terry, Ivan LeBraron (Desaray) Shores, Yvette LaRaie Shores and Christrophe Errol (Elizabeth) Shores; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Jean Shores; her parents, Edd and Annie (nee Mosley) Burnett; and siblings, Charley, Clara, George, James Thomas, William Edward, and Jimmie Lexie Lee Burnett.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2011, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., with funeral services to follow at the Original Church of God, 312 Edward Street, Elyria. Interment is in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
