Kathleen May Cottle
ROY - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Kathleen May Cottle, 86, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 10, 1924 in Salisbury, Wilshire, England to William George Bealing and Louisa Jane Riggs.

She married Emmett Cottle January 19, 1945. Their marriage was later sealed on May 2, 1975 in the Salt Lake Temple. Emmett passed away November 12, 1988.
She grew up in Tisbury, and was schooled at St. Johns High School in England. She worked at age 14 in a convalescent home for children until she turned 16 and joined the "WAAF'S" Woman Auxiliary Air Force during WWII for England. It was there she met her love, Emmett Cottle. They had 43 years together.
Kathleen was Baptized in 1952 in the LDS Church and was a member Roy 23rd Ward. Her callings included Cub Scouts, Relief Society, Primary, Visiting Teaching and worked in the Cannery. She became an American citizen in 1967.

Kathleen loved writing cards to everyone. She always thought of others. Her children and grandchildren were her love and she enjoyed every minute spent with them.

She is survived by her children: Chris Cottle, Derrel Cottle, Lynn (Jan) Cottle, Tamara Thurell, Camala (Darin) Brown, Britt (Robert) Newman (thought of as a daughter), 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving a sister in England.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kathleen Clare Cottle and husband.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West, Hooper. A viewing will be held for family and friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy.
