Born April 5, 1890, in Beverdam, he was the son of Noah and Ida Leedy Cool. He married Emma Bridges in 1909 and she died in 1933. He then married Clara Bartley in 1935; she died in 1960. He left the Beaverdam area in 1929.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond A. of Springfield and Charles R. of California; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Matter of Rt. 2, Bluffton, and Mrs. Kenneth Girlam of Springfield; two stepsons, Jack Bartley of Dayton and Earl Bartley of California; one brother, Glen of Ada; and a sister Mrs. Hiram Augsberger, Rt. 5.
Arrangements are incomplete at Austin-Richards Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Springfield.
