Obit: (1/23/1903) George J. Burkhart, who lived near Ozark for almost thirty years, died at his home Friday night after an illness of four years. He was seventy-five years old. He leaves a brother Theobald of Burkhart Station and a sister Mrs. Fred Haren of Woodsfield. Four sons and five daughters mourn his death. Theobald and Cosmos of Ozark and Joseph and Adolph of Barnesville. The daughters are Mrs. Anthony Burkhart and Misses Elizabeth and Magdalena of Ozark, and Mrs. William Martin and Mrs. Flowers of Barnsville.
Relatives and friends from many parts of the county attended the funeral Monday morning at the Catholic church in Ozark. Rev T. A. Goebel of Woods-field conducted the services. Mr. Burkhart was a man of deep religious convictions, of geniel disposition, a good father and an upright citizen.
