Anna Lucinda League was born abt. 1877/78 in Missouri (probably in Andrew Co.), and was the daughter of Richard R. League and Lucinda Elizabeth Ingram.

At times during Anna Lucinda's life she used her first name on documents, at other times she used her middle name. I have put quotes on the name she used, if known, at the time of the following significant life events:

"Anna" Lucinda was married 1st to Charles Kutz on 29 Jul 1892 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa. Together they had six children: Lucinda, abt 1889; Lula L., b. Jul 1893; John b. Oct 1894; Lillie May b. Jun 1896, d. 30 Aug 1897; Viola, b. Jul 1897; and Edna May b. May 1900.

"Anna" Lucinda 2nd married Otto R. Taylor on 10 Jul 1911 in Sioux City, Woodbine Co., Iowa.

Anna "Lucinda" 3rd married G. B. Briggs on 14 Apr 1913 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa.

"Anna" Lucinda 4th married Marion L. Gum, between 1919-1920. They had one child together: Cleo Marie, b. abt .1925. NOTE: To date no marriage record has been found for this union, however census records from this time period indicates that she was know as "Anna" while with Marion.

Anna "Lucinda" 5th married Jerome Smith Barton on Jun 19, 1934 in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.

Anna "Lucinda" died on Nov 11 1935 in Topeka, Shawnee Co., Kansas, when her clothing caught on fire, causing serious burns to her body. The fire was caused by a stove. - per her death certificate

The posted death notice is from the "Topeka Daily State Journal," 11 Nov 1935, Pg 7

Both Anna "Lucinda" and her 5th husband Rome are buried in the Rochester Cemetery's pauper section. Neither of them has a stone or marker; the actual location of their burial is unknown (other than that they ARE buried in that section of the cemetery).
