Samuel was orginally buried in the Methodist Cemetery at Kemptville beside his wife and son Austin. In 1889, Amanda (daughter) was interred beside them. That cemetery afterwords fell into disuse and Martha (after Miriam married) had the remains of Samuel and his wife, his son Austin and daughter Amanda transferred to the cemetery at Oxford Mills, where she and Miriam were later interred
