HARTFORD CITY – Lloyd E. Brane, 95, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

He was born in Glendive, Montana on September 26, 1915 to George Washington Brane and Bessie M. (Coon) Brane. Both parents preceded him in death.

Lloyd graduated from Marion High School in 1933. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from GM Fisher Body in Marion in 1985 after 21 years of service. He was a member of UAW and had formerly attended Summitville United Methodist Church.


He moved to Hartford City 11 years ago from Grant County when he married Audrey.

Lloyd's second wife, Grace Kathleen Lamb died in 2009, mother of Robert L and Susan.

Lloyds third wife, Erma Brane of 21 years died in 1978.

There were 4 other wives that are known of including a common law wife.

His last wife was Audrey (Sharon) Emery Brane.
Lloyd married Audrey in 1999 at the Blackford County Courthouse in Hartford City. She died on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.

Lloyd will be sadly missed
by his son, Robert L. Brane of Hot Springs, Arkansas;
by his daughter, Susan (husband, Ronald) Beckerman of Anderson;
grandchildren,
Robert J. Brane,
Tim (wife, Crysta) Kabrich,
Marie Kabrich;
great-grandchildren, Logan and Trent Kabrich;
step-sons, David H. (wife, Tina) Emery of Knoxville, Tennessee; Robert E. (wife, Lorene) of Muncie;
Vaughn A. (wife, Fern) Emery of Hartford City; step-daughter, Audrey (husband, Shirley) Jennings of Jamestown, Tennessee; 14 step-grandchildren; 19 step-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife,Grace, his 2nd wife,Erma, and his most current wife Audrey who died the day after him, and a sister Dorothy Brane.

Funeral service for Lloyd will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Rev. Lloyd Hall officiating.

Burial will follow at Vinson Memorial Park in Summitville, Indiana.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 and from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
