NORMA SUE FISHER

Norma Sue (Brewer) Fisher died January 18, 2004 She was born on September 27,1941 in Hampton, Platte Co. Mo. to Norman Brewer and Elsie June (Cox) Brewer. Sue attended grade school at Hampton School and upon the death of her father she and her mother moved to Platte City, Mo. where she attended school graduating high school there.

Sue married her partner of 41 years, Byron Redman Fisher on July 7, 1962 at the First Baptist Church in Platte City, Mo.

Sue's first employment was Farley State Bank. After her children John Douglas and Sarah Lynn, were raised she worked for several years at Farley Law Office and then Wells Bank of Platte City.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Platte City where she was church clerk for 40 years and helped with many fellowship dinners. Sue was also a member of Chapter L.G. of Platte City P.E.O. the Platte County Chapter of D.A.R., lifetime PTA member and member of the monthly women's only, "Do Nothing Club."

She enjoyed history, genealogy and visiting local cemeteries to reminisce about family and acquaintances.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 41 years, Byron Redman Fisher, her son, John Douglas Fisher and wife, Debra, her daughter, Sarah Lynn Wright, her grandchildren, Abbey Lynn and Brady Park Wright, other relatives and many friends.

Burial is in Platte City Cemetery.
