Janet Lee Wilkins Titus, age 67, died early on Tuesday morning, Feb. 22, 2011, after a long illness, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 27,1944, the daughter of Ray and Irene (Baldwin) Wilkins, who survive her.

Janet was a lifelong resident of Shelby County. Following graduation from Triton Central High School in 1962, she married Donald Titus, and was married for nine years. She worked in the law office of Bruner, Brown and Bruner for several years. She held positions in the Indiana State Holstein Assoc. and the Indiana Quarter Horse Racing Assoc. In 1989 she was employed by Shelby County CO-OP, and was in charge of accounts payable for twenty years, retiring in 2009.

Janet enjoyed farming, and raising award winning Holstein cattle. For many years, she attended the Pleasant View United Methodist Church in North Vernon, Indiana. Her greatest pleasures were being with her host of friends, watching her grandsons playing sports, riding one of her several horses, each a special pet, and cheering for her favorite NASCAR drivers.

Janet's passing leaves a deep breech in the hearts of her family and her multitude of faithful friends.

Survivors also include her son, Tony Titus; daughter-in-law, Teresa Titus; sisters, Judy Pauls (Jerry), and Joy Henson (friend Ron); two grandsons, TJ and Joe Titus; nieces, Leigh Ann Pauls, Lori Shelton; nephews, Stephen Henson, Rick Henson; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
