Morgan Funeral Service Held At Oakdale Funeral services for Mrs. Lindsey Morgan, Tonkawa, a former resident of the Carnegie community, were held Wednesday, January 15, in the Oakdale Baptist church northeast of Carnegie. Mrs. Morgan had been in failing health for several years and was seriously ill for a few days before she died, December 11, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Wesley Barney, at Tonkawa. Mrs. Morgan and her family had been residents of Caddo county from 1912 until 1942, living near Swan Lake northeast of Carnegie. She and her husband moved to Tulsa, where he preceded her in death in 1949. Since that time she had made her home in Tonkawa. Mary Alice Robbins was born February 10, 1882, near Jacksonville, Texas. When 18 years old she became a member of the Baptist church at Waco, Texas. On April 14, 1907, she was married to Lindsey Y. Morgan at Putnam, Tex. To this union seven children were born, three of them preceding her in death. Survivors include two sons, Rev. Carl Morgan of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Ray Morgan, Wichita, Kans.; two daughters, Mrs. Barney and Mrs. Roy Meadows, both of Tonkawa; four brothers; three sisters; 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
