SERVICES HELD IN GARDEN CITY

Funeral services were held on Monday in the Garden City ward chapel for Thomas Sims.

Bishop Bryan Booth conducted the services including a vocal trio by Cora Lutz, Fontella Scofield and Norma Sprouse; invocation by Thoams J. Hodges; vocal duet, Carrie and Ruth Pugmire; remarks, Henry Monson; clarinet duet, Myrna and Gordon Ward; remarks, Paul Spence; vocal duet, Cora Lutz and Fontella Scofield; President Burdette Pugmire; remarks, Bishop Booth; vocal solo, Harold B. Felt; benediction, Clinton Tremelling; dedication of the grave, Ernest Woffinden.

Mr. Sims, 85, a Garden City farmer for more than 40 years, died February 20 in Salt Lake City of causes incident to age.

He was born in Salt Lake City on July 15, 1866. He held the office of high priest in the Garden City ward and worked as a ward teacher and Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include the following children: Everett Sims, Logan; Mrs. Viola Woffinden, Layton, Utah; Arch Sims, Mantua, Utah; and Mrs. Lazette Satterthwaite adn Mitchell Sims, Garden City; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers also survive, Mrs. Catherine Collett of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Isabel Moore of Ogden, Alfred Sims of California and Williams Sims of Oregon.
