He was born August 13, 1939 in Overton County to Laura (Cantrell) Dixon and the late Morris Dixon.
He was a factory worker at Hutchinson's. and of the Baptist Faith.
In additon to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister; Geneva Cantrell, and his father-in-law; Fonzo Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Genat (Walker) Dixon of Rickman; a daughter and son-in-law; Dianna and David Loftis of Cookeville; 2 grandchildren, Austin and Tara Loftis both of Cookeville; his mother Laura Dixon of Rickman; a brother, Jimmy Dixon of Rickman, sister, Joyce Hargis of Alpine; mother-in-law, Glennis D. Prichard of Livingston; brother-in-law, Ricky Walker, and a host of nieces and nephews.
