George Frederick Bietsch, died on December 8, 1870. He was born on January 21, 1806 at Neunkirchen, Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany. He was married in 1838 to Elizabeth Catherine Eckstein. From this marriage sprang three sons and one daughter. His wife preceded him in death on January 31, 1868. He emigrated in 1860. He is survived by four children and fifteen grandchildren.
