Born April 26,1929 to Raymond Higgins & Lula Eva Higgins in Paducah, Ky.. She had 4 siblings 2 girls, 2 boys, one of which died preceeding her birth. The family moved to Alton, Ill. when she was just 5 weeks of age. She was employed at Olin Corp. in E.Alton, Ill. at the time of her death and had recently married 3 months prior. She was killed in a headon car accident 2 miles north of alton on Humbert Rd.. The accident occured shortly before 12:30 am and it had been reported she had just gotten off work at midnight.
