Per the 1900 Census, Magdalena is the mother of 8 children and 8 children living.
She actually had 12 children--Eight surviving and four dying in infancy.
1900 Census says she's a widow, but not according to her obit.

Per 1908 Syracuse Directory,

Per the 1910 Census, She's a widow and h/hhold. Granddaughter Louise (Helena's daughter) is the only other person in her h/hold. However, Louise's age matches her other granddaughter Mary (Josephine's daughter).

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Ambrose, Anthony J., and John Stier: four daughters, Mrs. Eugene Schoeb (Elizabeth), Mrs. Daniel Kuhles (Amelia), Mrs. Joseph Beck( Gertrude) and Mrs. Chester Jinks (Josephine).

Funeral from the residence of her son, Anthony J.: 206 Pond St., Saturday morning at 8:30 and at Church of Assumption at 9 o'clock. Friends are invited. Burial at Assumption.
