Actress. She is best known for her role of Carol Robbins Evans in the daytime TV serial "The Young and the Restless" (1983 to 1993). Raised in the Chicago-area, she had a career as a child model in spite of her infliction with polio at the age of six months. After working at several occupations including clerical work in veterinarian and pediatrician offices, she attended Texas Christian University for one year before moving to Arizona where she worked in the banking industry. During the early 1980s, Templeton moved to Los Angeles in pursuant of an acting career which initially began with roles on the TV programs "Quincy M.E." and "Dallas", before she became identifiable for her part on "The Young and Restless". Among her other television credits include "Hill Street Blues", "T.J. Hooker", "Simon & Simon" and "Frasier". When not acting, she devoted her time as an activist for disability rights.
