Funeral services for Marjorie Lee "Margie" Yates, 76, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at her residence in New Albany.
She was a native of New Albany and a homemaker. Mrs. Yates was formerly a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Yates Sr., of New Albany; sons, Donald L. Yates II, of DePauw, and Danny L. Yates, of Georgetown; daughter, Debbie Dean, of New Albany; brother, Charles Steproe, of Evansville; sister, Bonnie Leitsch, of Louisville; grandchildren, Donnie and Sarah, and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus.
