On 20May1975, at age 27, Rebecca married for the first time to Abraham Brown in Adams County, Indiana. Abraham's given name at birth was Abel. He was born to Thomas Brown and Lydia Sparks in Indiana in about 1849, and may have died between 1877-1880. Lydia included granddaughters, Sarah Jane Brown Vinning and Lydia Matilda Brown Runyon, in her will which is how we know Abraham and Abel are the same person.
Rebecca's second husband, Owen Glancy, was the postmaster of Canoper. They married on 28Jan1880 in Adams Co. He died four years later in Feb1884.
Her third husband, Alex Utinger, was an immigrant from France who worked as a blacksmith. He arrived in New York in 1881 and became a naturalized citizen in 1886. Alex and Rebecca married on 16Sep1885 in Adams Co. They were together twenty-four years before he died in 1909. His parents were Valentine and Maria Swartz. Alex and Rebecca were witnesses to her daughter Sarah's marriage.
Based on census records, Rebecca had three children, one of whom apparently died young.
