This is her death notice from the Salt Lake Tribune, 24 April 1902:

WOMAN BURNED TO DEATH.

Mrs. Nora Larsen Perishes in the Burning of Her Home.

Bluff, San Juan County. April 18.

The people of this community are in the deepest mourning over the tragic death of Mrs. Nora Larsen, the young wife of John Larsen of this place. She was burned to death In a blaze that consumed her home at an early hour this morning. The citizens were awakened by cries of lire, and as soon as they emerged from their houses they could easily locate the themes rising from the doomed house. Mr. Larsen was away from home working on the road and the young wife was there alone. A large crowd was soon gathered at the scene of the conflagration, but the flames had gained so much headway that it was impossible to enter the house except one of the back rooms, from which a few minor articles were saved. A search was made for Mrs. Larsen, but phe could not be found anywhere, and then a dreadful fear fell upon the people They could do nothing, however, but light the flames until they were extinguished. and this was not until the house was practically In ashes. Then the charred remains of Mrs. Larsen were found, and the horror and grief of the spectacle could not be depleted.

There Is no answer to the question of how the fire started, but the general belief is that the lamp, which Mrs. Larsen always kept burning In her room when alone, was toppled over in some way and the furnishings in the room caught fire, and she was stilled with smoke before she was completely aroused

There are many end features that enter Into the fatality. Mr. Larsen was an energetic and devoted man, and had just completed the building of his home, one of the finest In this section. A few years ago he embraced the "Mormon", faith. and while in Mancos, Colo., last year he met Miss Nora Hadden, a beautiful girl only 18 years old. He fell in love with her and after a time won her. He brought her to this place, and they seemed to be devoted to each other to the last degree, The husband is now almost inconsolable, and the deepest sympathy of the people goes out to him in his terrible bereavement.Correspondence Deseret News.
