He was a 1957 graduate of Akron Central School, a US Army veteran, serving in the paratroopers from 1957-1960. he was a member of the Tonawanda Baptist Church where he was a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. he was a member of the Heron Clan.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Gabriel Parker,; 2 children, Candice (Salvatore) Della Penna and Daniel (Sarah Lee) Parker; a brother, Stanley Parker, 3 sisters, Bernadette (Norman) Hill, Candice Parker and Pamela Booth; and a brother-in-law, Timothy Jones.
He was a brother of the late Karen Jones and Susan Parker; and uncle of the late david Jones.
