Christopher McKinnie "Kinnie" Causey, 83, of the Alamance Community of Guilford County, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Beacon Place in Greensboro, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease and years of declining health. He was born on February 11, 1927, in Guilford County, a son of the late Willie Hayes Causey and Bessie Hockett Causey. Kinnie was raised by his grandparents, the late William Anderson Causey and Euzelia Buchanan Causey at Dodge Lodge Farm.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, W. Mitchell Causey and D.H. Causey. Kinnie was a member of Alamance Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. He worked many years for Railway Express Agency, later REA Express, until they went out of business and then worked for Flowers Industries until retirement.

Kinnie leaves his wife of 60 years, Mrs. Marjorie Garrett "Margie" Causey; four sons, J. Michael Causey and wife, Hisae, of Greensboro, C. Dennis Causey and wife, Marcine, of Ft. Mill, SC, Stephen H. Causey and wife Debbie of Greensboro and J. Gregory Causey and wife Debbie of Greensboro; one daughter, Rebecca G. Causey of Greensboro; One brother, T. Norman Causey of Greensboro; Two sisters, Miss Dorothy E. Causey of Greensboro and Mrs. Thelma Goncharow of Greensboro. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, at George Brothers Funeral Home with the Rev. John N. Causey officiating. Burial to follow at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010, at George Brothers Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Rd., Greensboro 27406; Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG), 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro 27405; or Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
