Funeral service for Gurnie Barber, 54, of Calumet City, Ill. was Thursday, Feb. 2 at Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Alvin Tucker officiating.
Mr. Barber died Sunday, Jan. 29at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Ill.
Burial was in.Burningtree Memory Gardens, Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include his widow, Evelyn E.Barber of Calumet City, Ill.; three sons, Jimmy Barber and Maurice Barber; both of Calumet City, and Tony Barber of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Sandra Maslaky of Chicago, Ill. and Shelby LeClaire of Tulsa, Okla; two brothers, Hollis Barber and Jim Barber, both of Decatur., one sister, Birdie Breeding of Decatur; and six grandchildren.
