Mrs S J Huffman, widow of the late Samuel Huffman, died at her home in Avis yesterday morning of heart failure. Mrs Huffman was a native of Monroe county and previous to taking up her residence in Avis, had for 45 years made her home at Buck, where burial will be tomorrow morning in the Huffman graveyard.
Mrs Huffman was a consistent member of the Methodist church and highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.
Mrs Huffman is survived by the following children: Mrs N W Allen and Miss Marthe E Huffman, of Avis; J F Huffman of Buck; Rev L S Huffman, of Ellison, and S G Huffman of Bloomswitch, Ohio.
The funeral was held this afternoon from the home of her daughter Mrs Allen. The remains will be taken to Buck for interment tomorrow morning accompanied by many friends and relatives.
