Mary is the third daughter, and the third child of nine children, of John Street 1790-about 1850, and Mary "Polly" Kelso 1796-1877. She was from Kentucky and he is believed to be from Kentucky. They were married in Lincoln County, Tennessee in about 1817. They both died in Lincoln County, Tennessee, he in about 1850 when their nine children were very young.
Mary Street first married Albert W. Bryant, 1820-1863, on April 7, 1842 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. They apparently divorced in Lincoln County, Tennessee. They had several children together. His memorial has not been located but he is believed to be buried in Fannin County, Texas.
She then married William M. Bunn, 1830-1905, on May 26, 1853 in Lincoln County, Tennessee. They were both from Lincoln County, Tennessee. They had seven children together.
Mary died at the home of her daughter, Ida Ozella Bunn Heichelbech (Mrs. John Heichelbech), in Teague, Freestone County, Texas.
My grandmother, Ida Lee Roberts Lockett 1885-1976, who is Mary Ann Street Bunn's granddaughter via her daughter Alice Lee Bunn Roberts 1864-1948, told the story of the family moving from Bell County Texas to San Angelo Texas in 1905. In 1975, Ida Lee Roberts Lockett gave me the photo of her grandparents that is attached to this memorial and filled me in on who they were.
Mary Ann Street Bunn is my 2nd great grandmother. (Mike Lockett)
