Jane traveled with her children by covered wagon from Weakley County, Tennessee to Kerr County, Texas. She appears in the 1860 Kerr County census, living in Zanzenburg (now Center Point).
Records show Jane to have had seven children, two daughters; Julia and Narcissa J, and five sons; John F, Francis M, Andrew Simpson, William, and Calvin. Narcissa appears in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 censuses, with no record of her death. According to probate records, she did marry but died shortly thereafter with no mention of her spouse. Her death was prior to 1909. William (or Williamson) appears in the 1840 and 1850 census. His death was prior to 1909. Calvin does not appear in any census but is mentioned in probate records. It is assumed he was born after 1840 and died before 1850.
