Rita Sue Cunningham, 57, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the SOMC Hospice Center.

Born on May 5, 1953 in Paintsville, Ky., she was a daughter of Fannie Maynard Jude of Martin County, Ky., and the late William Jude.

She was employed in the surgery department at the Southern Ohio Medical Center,and was a member of the Coles Boulevard First Church of God.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Cunningham, a son, Treg Cunningham of Lucasville, a daughter, Courtney (Brandon) Holbrook of Portsmouth, two brothers, Daniel Jude of Louisa, Ky., and Claude Jude of Martin County, Ky., one sister, Reama Jude of Martin County, Ky.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Coles Boulevard First Church of God with Pastor Chad Benner officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to the service.
