Susan E Hudnall daughter of Richard N Hudnall and Catherine Covington was born in Patrick County, Virginia, March 11, 1838, and died at her home in Montgomery County, Missouri, July 18, 1918 aged 80 years, 4 months and 8 days. In 1885, she was married to Andrew Jackson Callaway, a grandson of Captain James Callaway. Susan had sisters; Frances and Ruth, and brothers; Claud, Peter, Charles J, Joseph R, and Samuel D. She professed religion many years ago and united with the Christian Church and later with the Baptist Church. Her husband preceded her some twenty years ago or more. She was a humble quiet Christian woman. No one was ever heard to say anything against her, but all who knew her, loved her. She loved the church and attended meetings as long as she was able. "Sorrow not as those who have no hope". After funeral services, conducted by Rev. A.B. Bush, the remains were interred in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. R. W. Hunley
