Dorothy Lee Winfree Clark, 88, of Wilmington, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 6, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nash Clark; parents, Carol and Mattie Thomas Winfree; daughter, Goldie Sargent and son Elmo Clark.
She is survived by three daughters, Claudia Batten, Margie Priest and Rena Clark; one sister, Margie Albers; one brother, Hugh Winfree; fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Oleander Chapel of Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home with the Dr. Jim Herchenhahn officiating. Interment will follow at White Plains Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Council, NC with the Rev. Jim Bartlett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.
Dorothy was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She will be remembered as a special lady who enjoyed raising her family and taking care of many other people over the course of her lifetime.
