Mark Steven Travis, 53, of Jacksonville died Friday, January 29, 2010. He was born September 18, 1956 in Trumann to James Travis and Shirley Shown Travis Knight. His stepfather, Ralph Knight, preceded him in death. Mark worked as a Bench Structure Mechanic for Dassault Falcon Jet for over 12 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and music, but was totally devoted to his family.
Mark is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Cormeny Travis and their son, Sean Travis, both of the home. He is also survived by his parents, James Travis of Brockwell and Shirley Knight of Jacksonville, a brother, Michael Travis of Hardy as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Ronnie Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501)982-2136.
