Died at the age of 77
One of three Daniel brothers who came to the Bonne Idee section of Morehouse Parish in 1850. The Daniel brothers (Enoch Little, William Albert and Berton Green) were born in Tennessee and first settled in Union Parish before moving to the Bonne Idee. They opened up farms, engaged largely in raising hogs and cattle by turning them at large in the woods' range. From CC Davenport's Looking Backward: Memoirs of the Early Settlement of Morehouse Parish p27 CC Davenport did not mention the sisters that arrived in Morehouse Parish along with the three brothers.

1st wife was Florence Suzanna L. Rayner Daniel (born abt 1832 North Carolina). Did Susan Rayner die BEFORE or AFTER the 1860 Census? (name of Florence Suzanna from death certificate of Samuel Rayner Daniel)
Their children:
James Leon Daniel
William Joseph Daniel
Samuel Rayner Daniel

2nd wife was Susan Amanda Stewart Brice (born 1822?)
Children:
