Fox Heath.)"This morning, in between cooking and eating breakfast with the family (Texas sized sliced french toast and local 4H sausage), and then cleaning the house for our home church later this evening, Georgia and I were texting back and forth about Enos Fox (what would have been my great great great great grandfather.

Looking over a couple pictures she sent, I think we found out something that we'd never truly known. Enos Fox had seen a physician almost exactly 2 months after his beloved bride passed on to be with the Lord. On December 4th, 1890, Enos Fox was seen by a Dr. Wright and declared....mentally insane.

Imagine...being married for so very long to someone that has been by your side through the great and rough times of life; a person that shared all their life, loved you and raised children with you, is suddenly torn from your life...from your body.

I've read that many people that are aged, don't last too awful long after they've lost their spouse. It must be hard to cope with a missing part of your body...a chunk of your heart ripped painfully from your chest. I suppose the body has a few different types of coping mechanisms. Perhaps Enos Fox' mind relapsed to a point of just keeping his body alive...but not enough to remember the hurt.

To me, this is a love story in the form of old documents. One of the loss of a loved one, and one we must have missed being handed down from Fox family to the many branches. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but it appears to be less about a man going insane...and more of a man suffering from an immense loss." ......James Gordon
