Services for John Charles Hunt, 78, were held at the Cumberland Presbyterian church in Olney officiated by Rev. Glenn Sorley of Littefield.
Charlie Hunt married Mary Ayers in 1914 at Bowie, Texas. The couple moved to Olney in 1922 and lived here for several years except for a few years when Mr. Hunt operated a resort in New Mexico following his retirement.
He was a member of the Presbyterian church and Olney Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: wife; two sons - Dr. Walter Emmitt Hunt, John C. Hunt, Jr.; one daughter - Mrs. Hardy Dalmont; four grand; seven great; two brothers - W.H. Hunt, J.T. Hunt; one sister - Mrs. Hazel Tucker.
