EL CAJON, Calif. — Shirley L. Komula, 80, of San Diego County, Calif., died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Grossmont Hospital, La Mesa, Calif.
She was born in Erie and lived in San Diego County for 35 years.
She retired as a nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Komula; three daughters, Sandra Prentice, Deborah Bushore and Kristina Reid; a son, Vance Komula; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
There were no calling hours.
Burial was at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego.
Arrangements were handled by Telophase Cremation Society, 145 E. Lexington Ave., El Cajon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Erie Unit, 2115 W. 38th St., Erie, PA 16508.
