Tami Cee (Cate) Clark, age 43, of Rapid City, South Dakota, died February 14, 2011 at her home of an infection of her lungs. She was born November 19, 1967 in Tacoma, Washington the daughter of John and Hatsumi Cate.


Tami lived in many places throughout her life but she considered herself a South Dakota girl. Brookings, Oregon is where she met the love of her life, Zachary Clark and where they had two children, Harley and CJ. In 1994 they relocated to Quinn, SD and eventually moved to Rapid City, SD where she lived the remainder of her life.


Tami lived her life for her family and her children and anyone who crossed paths with her. She never knew a stranger. If you needed her, she was the first person that you could call and she would be there no matter what the circumstances.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Hatsumi Cate; and her nephew, Ian Kenneth Cate Jr.


She is survived by her husband Zach Clark, Rapid City, SD; two sons, Harley Clark, Rapid City, SD; CJ Clark, Rapid City, SD; her father, John Cate, Union, OR; five brothers, Ray Cate, Burns, OR; Gene Cate, Union, OR; Cliff Cate, Eugene, OR; Ian Cate, Eugene, OR; Jay D. Cate, Rapid City, SD; two sisters, Teri Bond, Brookings, OR; Riki McKague; Pendleton, OR; 24 nephews; 15 nieces; seven great-nephews; 13 great-nieces; and many friends.


Services at the Mother Butler Center, Rapid City, SD. Donations to Great Western Bank for the Clark family in Tami Clark's name. Kirk Funeral Home, Rapid City, SD is in charge of the arrangements.
