Thelma Harris, 76, formerly of Browns, died Thursday, January 31, 1991 at 3:40 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Arrangements are being handled by Ingram Funeral Home in Albion.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Melody Brawley officiating. Burial will be in Browns Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday.

Memorials can be made to Browns United Methodist Church in Browns.

Mrs. Harris was born in the Fortney Community October 27, 1914, the daughter of George and Lena May (Wick) Bender. She married Jim Weisenberger in Louisville February 1933. He died May 27, 1967. She later married Fred S. Harris March 1971. He survives.

She was an L.P.N. at Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel.

She was a member of the Browns United Methodist Church in Browns.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include one son, Dr. John Weisenberger, Hanford, Calif.; three daughters, Sharon K. Riggs, Decatur, Mrs. John (Denise) Morris, Shumway, Mrs. John (Jill) Ginder, Olney; one brother, George Warren Bender, Mattoon; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, a daughter, one brother, one sister, and one grandchild.
