Mrs. Cecil Darling, 76, Estherville, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital, where she had been admitted earlier in the day.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Karl Miller officiating. Interment will be made at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Named Elizabeth Irene, she was born April 29, 1896, in Des Moines to Oliver and Margaret Clark. She received her education in schools at Granger. On Jan. 29, 1916, she was married to Cecil R. Darling in Des Moines. They lived there until 1928 when they moved to Estherville. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cecil; three daughtes, Mrs. William S. (Dorothy) Mills of Des Moines, Mrs. Lowell (Jean) Monroe of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Iseminger of Estherville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. H. O. Lawson of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Vern Ware of Des Moines and Mrs. Stella Elmets of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Gerald and Paul, two grandsons and her parents.
