Survived by his wife of 61 years, Myrtle (Myrnie) and five children, son Charles and wife Susan of Redding, daughter Ardis of Corning, daughter Sheila of Redding, son Milas of Redding, and son James of Garberville. He has 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents plus his five brothers and two sisters.
He is a Veteran of World War II, serving with the US Army in the South Pacific. Ralph and Myrnie moved to Hoopa in 1957. They moved to Willow Creek in 1964. Ralph worked as a welder/heavy duty mechanic with the last 20 plus years in road construction. He retired in 1981 from Operating Engineers, Local #3 Union. Ralph was noted since his retirement for his rose gardens.
Viewing at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel, 2655 Eureka Way, Redding on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 3 p.m.– 5 p.m., Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 9 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Igo. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Mercy Hospice, Redding or a charity of your choice.
