Adela Henrietta Amundson, 83, died Thursday, February 28, 2008.
Adela was born February 26, 1925 in Owego, NY, she was one of six children.Adela attended Pacific Union College working towards an educational degree. Adela married Roy April 21, 1946 in Sacramento.During Roy's military service Adela worked as a data entry person for IBM. Roy and Adela had four children: Dick, Judy, Tom and Becky. The family moved from Orangevale to Red Bluff in 1960 where they have spent the last 48 years.Survivors include husband Oliver "Roy" L. Amundson of Red Bluff, son Richard D. Amundson of Eureka, and Thomas L. Amundson of Red Bluff, daughters Judy M. Church of Red Bluff, and Becky S. Matiko of Redlands, CA, sister Myrtle Samla of Sacramento, and brother Hale Kuhlmann of Escondido, CA, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, March 5 at Hoyt-Cole Chapel of the Flowers. Services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.Burial will be at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, Igo, CA.Published in Daily News on Mar. 4, 2008
