DEATH CLAIMS MRS. CHANDLER
Mrs. Jane Pate Chandler, age 68 years, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock after being bedfast since the first of the year with tuberculosis. She had been ailing for about three years with the disease which finally claimed her in death. Death came at the home of her brother, Robert, south Davidson street, where she had been living since her illness.
She was a daughter of George and Sarah Pate, deceased, and was born in Salt Creek township. She made her home in this county all her life, living in Sanders, Bloomington and elsewhere. There were two daughters, Rhoda Hatton and Bessie Mobley, and a son Isaac, all of whom died of tuberculosis. She was the wife of William Chandler who was killed by a Monon train south of 1st street in 1917.
She is survived by six brothers, John, of Kawana, James and Sherman of
Indianapolis, Jessie of Putnamville, George of Greene county and Robert of his city, a sister Mrs. Emma Chestnut, south Walker street, a son, Sherman of Oakland, Ill., and a daughter, Mrs. Ezra Baxter, east of the city.

The funeral of Mrs. Chandler will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Knight's Ridge church in charge of Rev. Joseph M. Campbell, of the Howe street Mission. Interment at the Knight's cemetery. The pall-bearers will be the six brothers.
