"Mae C. Altemose, 91, of 248 W. Moorestown Road, Wind Gap, died Monday, March 19, in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Vincent O. Altemose Sr.

Born in Bushkill Township, she was a daughter of the late Conrad and Ida (Beers) Bill.

She was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Moorestown.

She was a charter member and past noble grand of Lady Hall Rebekah Lodge 202, Aluta, and a member of the Ladies of the Orient and former Ladies Patriarch Militant Association 39, both of Allentown.

She was a member of the Bushkill Township Fire Company auxiliary.

She was a judge of elections in Bushkill Township for many years and a member of the state Voters Hall of Fame.

Survivors: Daughter, Eileen M. Rohn of Bushkill Township; sons, Vincent O. Jr. of Campbell, N.Y., Earl R. of Brockway, Jefferson County, Sherwood W. of Moore Township, Curtis J. of Bath; sister, Mildred Vosper of Bushkill Township; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, George G. Bensing Funeral Home, 2165 Community Drive, Bath.
