The Huntsville Times, Sunday, October 27, 1991. Carol Padgett Tapscott, 18, of Marshall County, died Friday in an auto accident. The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Gurley Holiness Church with the Rev. Ellidge Holland and the Rev. Johnny West officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery in New Market with Madison Chapel Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Tapscott was a member of Gurley Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband, Jim Tapscott of Guntersville; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Padgett of Huntsville; two sisters, Cindy Maggart of Paint Rock and Ava Wied of Huntsville; a brother, Dennis Padgett of Huntsville. The body will lie in state at Gurley Holiness Church until the funeral.
