Rolla F. BUCHER, 79, R.R. 1, Silver Lake, died Sunday at 12:40 a.m. in Wabash county hospital following an illness of three weeks. Born June 1, 1890, in Wabash county, he was the son of Frank E. and Emma ZELLERS BUCHER. His marriage was March 18, 1918, in Kosciusko county, to Laura RICE, who died in 1950. A retired carpenter and veteran of World War I, he was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and the Moose lodge, all of Rochester. Surviving are one son, Frank BUCHER, R.R. 1, Silver Lake; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded in death. Final rites will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m in the Silver Creek Church of God, five miles south of Akron. The Rev. George RESER will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek Church of God cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, until noon Tuesday and then at the church one hour before services.
