VALERA SHIPES
Mrs. Valera Shipes, age 93, of Graceville, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Campbellton Graceville Hospital. She was born in Fadette, and was a lifelong resident of the Graceville area. Mrs. Shipes enjoyed gardening and sewing. She was predeceased by her husband, Will Shipes; and her beloved son, Willie Earl Shipes. Mrs. Shipes is survived by three daughters, Merle Harley and her husband, Len, of Panama City, Nettie M. Everitte of Buchanan, Ga., and Joyce Deal and her husband, Doyle, of Graceville, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Aunette Shipes of Savannah, Ga.; a sister, Clara Fountain of Graceville; a brother, Clifton Condrey of Montgomery, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2003, at Graceville Community Church with the Rev. Dale Worley and the Rev. Seaborn Miles officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery. Mrs. Shipes' grandsons will serve as the active pallbearers. The family will receive friends today, March 28, 2003, at James and Lipford Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home 2403 Harrison Ave. 763-4694 Panama City, Fla. 32402
