EDWARD J. ADAMS, for eighteen years an employe in the erecting department of the machine shops of Frick Co., died at his home No. 155 West North street, at four o'clock Tuesday morning. He had been in poor health for a year, suffering from gastritis, but was confined to his bed only eight weeks.
Mr. Adams was born in Hanover and was in his 67th year. When he was 30 years old he removed to Emmitsburg and resided there until 1882, when he came to this place. He was a member of the Roman Catholic church. He was of a jolly disposition and had many friends who will regret his death.
He leaves a wife and five children, Mrs. Lewis Cook and Mrs. Samuel Haugh, Baltimore; Mrs. Joseph Favorit, Hagerstown, Harry Adams, Westminster, and Mrs. Walter Scott, who resided with her parents.
Funeral this morning. Requiem Mass was said in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Interment in Catholic cemetery.
