My Dad was born in 5 May 1917, in Waterloo, Blackhawk, Iowa. Son of Benjamin
Franklin Dally and Fern Melvina Joslin. Passed away 12 Aug 1998 in the hospital
at Pauls Vally, Okla. He married Jewel Dean Jackson 21 Jul 1937. They had four
sons, Don, JC, Jack, and Leon and one daughter Juanita, He was raised by his
Grandmother Elizabeth and Irvin Schmidt. He used Smith for his name and had it
changed legally when he started drawing Socical Security.
