Freida P. Myers, 93, Elwood, died at 4 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at her home.
She was born July 7, 1913, in Miami County to Clyde and Goldie (Gerhart) Graham. She married Carl C. Myers on Nov. 23, 1932, in Howard County, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1970.
She was a former member of Poneto United Methodist Church. She graduated from Jackson Township High School in Howard County in 1931. She was a homemaker and was 4th District Farm Bureau Women's Leader for 12 years.
Freida has lived in the Elwood area since 1973. Prior to that she resided in Nottingham Township, Wells County, for 22 years.
Surviving are her children, Merrill A. Myers and wife Janice, Keystone, Byron D. Myers and wife Betty, Pierceton, Clyde "Bill" Myers and wife Roberta, Elwood, Darol B. Myers and wife Carol, and Mrs. Roger "Markeeta" Wilson, all of Bluffton; brother, LaVerne L. Graham, Greentown; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Graham; and brother, Carl Graham.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Petroleum United Methodist Church, with Pastor Neil Aninslie officiating.
Burial will be in Stahl Cemetery, Wells County.
Calling will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home, Bluffton, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
