Mrs. Hamby was born April 18, 1919, in Wilkes County to Charles Leander Baldwin and Mamie Foster Baldwin Combs. She was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 26, at Davis Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating.
