Isla M. Kercher, 88, of Fort Collins passed away February 18, 2011 at her home surround by family. She grew up in Northern Colorado and graduated from Greeley Central High School. In 1943 she married Elmer Kercher in Greeley. She was a long time resident of Fort Collins where she served as the manager of the State Bootery in the old State Dry Goods, and worked 16 years for Asamera Oil Company. She enjoyed an active life that included gardening, family, and friends. Isla was an active member of the Timberline Church for over 55 years.

Isla was preceded in death by her husband Elmer. She is survived by her daughters Sue (Sam) Schmidt of Wellington, Debbie (Kenneth) Summers of Lakewood; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Timberline Church. Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at 11:15 AM, Thursday February 24, 2011 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
