John Glover

American Revolution soldier. In the war, he served as a Private in Captain Ingle's Company, 2nd N. C. Battalion, commanded by Col. John Patten. John Glover called Ole' John Glover m. Sarah Paschal daughter of Samuel Paschal. The Glover family removed from NC to Abbeville, SC into Baldwin Co., Ga. that part which became Putnam County. John drew land in Crawford County abt 1829 he removed to Crawford Co. and remained there until his death. His will is probated in Crawford Co. Ole John and his neighbor donated land to in 13 NOV 1832 build Mt. Paran Church. John, Sarah and many of their children and grandchildren are buried in the church cemetery.
