Daniel was the son of Michael Pike and his wife Abigail Lamb of Framingham MA. Resources indicate that Daniel was born in Phillipston MA. He married Anna Caroline Valentine around 1823. They lived in McDonough NY where they raised twelve children.
Their son Emory and his family are also buried in the old Presbyterian Burying Grounds.
